Benjamin Lee (President)
Benjamin was the President of Hong Kong Association of Washington (HKAW) from 2006 to 2009, and Chairman of the National US Hong Kong Business Association (NUSHKBA) in 2009. A well known figure within the Seattle community, he is willing to step up to help and donate to the community at any opportunity he gets. Benjamin has been an influential figure of HKAW’s recent growth by working closely with the National USHKBA and Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide. He brings in numerous business connections, and leading the way on building relationships with organizations such as Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO). On the business side, Benjamin is also an international business leader. He is an owner of an import/export company who is well connected in the business world, especially in Asia, from Hong Kong, Shanghai, to Taiwan.
Andy Yip (VP)
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Andy Yip moved to Seattle in 1995 with his family to further his education. After his graduation from the University of Washington, he was recruited by Prudential Financial to lead a diversity effort in the Pacific Northwest. In 2008, Andy saw the opportunity and became independent and started his firm in Mercer Island with his partner, with a focus on financial and estate planning. Andy now lives in Bellevue with his wife Elizabeth, his son Kaden and daughter Kaylee. He also serves on the following community organizations: – Executive Advisor, National Association of Asian American Professionals – Seattle Chapter – Board Member, International Community Health Services Foundation – Board Member, Newcastle Chamber of Commerce – Advisor, Collaborative Artists EastWest.
Cynthia So (Secretary)
Cynthia took on the role as a secretary of Hong Kong Association of Washington in 2006, she brings exceptional people skills and a can-do attitude to her position. She works closely with the operations group as well as all board members to coordinate and assist with numerous events. In her business background, she has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry. She now works for HSBC as a Branch Service Manager, with her focus being in Marketing and Sales. As a native of Hong Kong, she is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She works with local clients along with many others who are based in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China. Cynthia resides in Bellevue, WA with her husband and family, and enjoys movies, cooking and traveling in her free time.
Tony Chang (Treasurer)
Tony is the co-managing member of Clark, Raymond & Company, PLLC, a local CPA firm in Redmond, Washington. He has been serving as the treasurer of HKAW Foundation since 2006 and is also actively involved in other Asian non-profit organizations.
Nora Chan (Board of Director)
Nora is born and raised in Hong Kong, she attended Brigham Young University (BYU) with her late husband Dr. Austen Chan. She is an active member of the Kent Sister City Association with Yang Zhou, member of Chong Washington Association, a member of Seattle Chinese Chamber of Commerce. As one of the longest standing member of the Hong Kong Association of Washington, she has provided 18 months of community service to Hong Kong from Latter-Day Saints church. She is also the founding president of Seniors in Action Foundation.

Since 2009, Homing had been on the Hong Kong Business Association of Washington (HKBAW) board and Hong Kong Association of Washington Foundation. Across the years, he served as Membership Chair, Director of Operations, Board Secretary, to his current role, Vice President of the Board. His expertise in manufacturing, operations and supply chain management have helped him to be successful in 3 start-ups, international companies, and Fortune 500 organizations with the likes of Amazon.com, Starbucks to his current position.
Homing is currently with Delta Air Lines, the international carrier with over 5,000 daily flights and a reach of over 320 destinations globally. With a passion of connecting Chinese communities to Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, and Taiwan, have taken Homing to many Western US states. He develops creative business travel solutions for Chinese SMEs and communities, while growing Delta’s presence as a Sales Executive by working closely with over 80 community organizations and business chambers across states of Alaska, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
Homing resides in the Greater Seattle area, but was born and raised in Hong Kong. He is fluent in English and Cantonese, and he enjoys traveling, sports and hosting events in his spare time. Most recently, Homing was elected as the Secretary General for the National US Hong Kong Business Association, and a Board Member, of Denver’s Asian Chamber of Commerce. He looks forward to help the HKBAW keep climbing towards greater success in 2016 and beyond.
